Our podcast focuses on issues of the day, with focus on legal proceedings and cases.
Checking in, July 22, 2024, AJ catches up on recent news, including the attempted assassination of former President Trump, President Biden dropping out of the race for another term, and thoughts on an open convention.
In our first episode, Anthony joins Jessa Nicholson Goetz of the Getting Off Podcast to assess the proceedings to disqualify prosecutors in the Georgia criminal case against former President Trump. While it was recorded before the decision in the matter, the title “Odor of Mendacity” is taken from the written decision that the District Attorney must either withdraw her office entirely or that the prosecutor she appointed must go. Jessa and Anthony assess the motion itself, along with the presentation of the witnesses at the hearings, who all happen to be lawyers themselves.
This conversation was three hours, recorded over two days. The first session is available for free below. The entirety, along with bonus content, can be found in the members section.
In our second episode, Contra Sam Harris, on Free Will, Anthony presents an argument that Sam Harris is wrong in his assertions that we lack free will while exploring the application of legal reasoning to every-day issues, focusing particularly on burdens of proof. The episode is offered in its entirety below.
